The spotlight fell on upgraded tower coolers with enhanced heat dissipation and ARGB case fans. These products feature well-thought-out ergonomics and quiet operation, traits highly valued by PC enthusiasts and custom gaming system builders.

Special attention was given to cases boasting unconventional layouts and designs — models that would ordinarily be considered professional modding projects. Every new product deserves its own dedicated article and review, but in this feature, I would like to focus on the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fan kit, engineered with distinctive innovative design concepts.

Packaging and Contents

The fan set comes in a cubic cardboard box made of high-quality paperboard with premium printing. The packaging features an appealing white-and-blue colour scheme. The front panel displays an image of the fan itself, alongside a list of the key features and capabilities of the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max.

The company has upgraded the Alseye BEM software to the 3rd generation, adding support for the latest fan model. A technical specification table is printed on the reverse side, which we will examine later.

Standout examples include the TERMINATOR case modelled after the walking machine from the RoboCop film universe, the ROBOBOX mech-style chassis, the STAR ARK star-themed case, Trinity and Power Chamber cooling systems, the Lorinser cooler series, and more. However, my focus was drawn to the brand’s smaller-sized products.

The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max is a case fan — or more precisely, a set of three Φ12 Pro case fans featuring futuristic styling and an unconventional frame that enables airflow direction adjustment. The icing on the cake is a built-in 1.5-inch LCD display.

Alseye has reimagined the general concept of a conventional chassis airflow fan. It abandons the familiar square shape in favour of a circular design, with every component crafted to be distinctive and memorable.The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max measures 120 × 120 × 36 mm. It is available in white and black, and each unit weighs 172 grams.

The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fans win people over with their futuristic design. A circular frame wraps around the main assembly. The slightly widened blade structure facilitates greater air intake and improves static pressure. Key specifications: rotational speed ranging from 600 to 2300 RPM, airflow from 18 to 72 CFM, and a maximum pressure of 2.87 mm H₂O.

At the core of the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max lies a dual ball bearing, delivering a service life of up to 80,000 hours — twice that of other comparable models. Another standout visual feature is the built-in 1.5-inch round display. Some sources state it is an LCD screen, while others refer to it as an HD TFT panel. The fans come with two lengthy cables equipped with splitters:

• 4-pin PWM cable (50 cm + 10 cm);
• 3-pin ARGB cable combined with a 9-pin USB connector (65 cm + 5 cm + 5 cm).

Alseye BEM III Software

The brand’s official website operated unstably for several months, as reported in various articles. Following the migration to a new engine and site structure, downloading the required software has become far more convenient. The software has also received an upgrade: the new Alseye BEM III supports all latest products!

The main dashboard of Alseye BEM III displays general system information alongside the quantity and types of connected devices. Our kit includes three fans, which are identified as the “360 × 360” model — this detail reinforces our estimation of the display resolution.

Seven basic presets are available for the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fan kit. Users can create custom themes, modify factory presets, import third-party designs, and the software supports mainstream formats: JPG and PNG images, GIF animations, and MP4 video files. File size limitations have not been officially specified.

Four themes operate independently on each fan, while another three cycle sequentially across all displays. This function comes in handy when three fans are installed side-by-side, for instance on an AIO liquid cooling radiator.

Test Bench

The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fans were evaluated on a private home test bench housed inside the Formula V Line TimberLine T0 chassis. Even at first glance, the fans stand out visually.

By default, the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max units ship with a brand animation preloaded into onboard memory. After installing the software, the first preset theme loads, featuring floral patterns alongside real-time CPU and GPU temperature & utilization readouts.

Alseye BEM III allows users to rotate displayed graphics in 45° increments, assign unique animations to individual fans, and select preferred monitoring metrics.

The built-in display of the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max delivers excellent colour reproduction, adjustable brightness, and solid polling performance.

I uploaded a source image to the fan memory; as expected, the image gets cropped to fit the screen perimeter. The utility enables users to select the visible display region.

Additionally, I imported a 1.16 GB Doom Eternal gameplay video, which loaded smoothly within Alseye BEM III. Frame rate is difficult to quantify precisely — it appears to fluctuate between 25 Hz and 60 Hz depending on scene complexity.

Performance Testing

The rotational speed of the Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fans can be adjusted across a 600–2380 RPM range. Fan Stop functionality is not supported.

The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max fans deliver impressive overall performance. They generate strong airflow with no unwanted resonance or turbulent noise even at maximum speed, paired with fine dynamic balancing.

They run near-silent below 1300 RPM, quiet up to 1700 RPM, and remain acoustically tolerable up to 2050 RPM.

Conclusion

The Alseye Φ12 Pro Max is an intriguing, unconventional universal fan kit featuring built-in 1.5-inch displays, and it leaves a thoroughly positive impression. Users will first appreciate its distinctive frame design, high cooling efficiency, strong performance, and restrained noise output — noise remains barely perceptible even at 1600–1700 RPM.

Arguably its most compelling feature is the 360 × 360 resolution 1.5-inch display paired with proprietary software.
